Guildhall alumnus Ricardo Pires returns to the school to present a captivating recital of Portuguese works for saxophone.
His CD, Windsor Project, was released in summer 2023 and featured new works by Guildhall School composers Daniel Davies, Gonçalo Gato, Francisco Fontes and Pedro Lima.
Ricardo has collaborated with several orchestras and ensembles such as the Gulbenkian Orchestra, the Portuguese Symphonic Orchestra, the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra, the Clássica do Sul Orchestra and the Cinema Music Orchestra and the Lisbon Underground Music Ensemble. Ricardo is a D’Addario Woodwinds artist, musician of the GNR Symphonic Band and saxophone teacher at the Sintra Conservatory of Music.
